Philipp Knapp completed both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Dance Pedagogy at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. Building on this foundation, he deepened his expertise with a second Master's degree in Dance Pedagogy at the Escola Superior de Dan?a (ESD) in Lisbon, where he now also works as a guest lecturer, giving talks on dance education.

Since being appointed by Ginasiano – Escola de Dan?a, he has been living and working in Portugal. Since 2018, he has been a specialist teacher and coordinator in the field of dance at PALLC° – Performing Arts School & Conservatory in Porto. There, he also mentors ESD dance pedagogy students during their teaching internships and contributes to the ongoing curricular development of the program. As of the 2024/25 school year, he is also a guest teacher at Ent'Artes – Escola de Dan?a in Braga, where he creates choreographies and prepares students specifically for competitions.

Through the further education and cultural project BROTO, which he co-founded and directs, Philipp is committed to strengthening international networks in support of the training and future of young dancers. Formats like VITAMIN D and VITAMIN SHOTS offer application coaching and encounters with renowned artists – including Palucca alumni Iskra Stoyanova and Michael Foster, as well as Chase Johnsey (Artistic Director, Ballet de Barcelona).

The impulses of his training at Palucca University – marked by pedagogical depth, artistic dialogue, and high professional standards – continue to shape his professional work to this day.
